Abortion

Just the title got your attention, huh?

Do I think I would ever be able to go through with an abortion?  No.  Do I think other women who chose to make that decision should be legally allowed to?  ABSOLUTELY!  I don't think that government has any right to impose their beliefs on the general population.  It makes me sick to think that in our supposedly "free" country, that making a choice about your own body is not left up to yourself.  I definitely think that people should be more careful... birth control, condoms, abstinence, whatever... but not every one thinks about that.  Plus, what about the situations where the sex that resulted in conception wasn't concentual, what then?  Should that woman be forced to carry a reminder of probably one of the worst times in their life for NINE months?  Can you imagine doing something excrutiating day in and out for 40 weeks?  280 days?  I don't know about you, but it would drive me crazy and I'm not sure I would ever recover.  Yes, I do think that the life of an unborn child is precious and priceless, but I don't think it is ever a clear cut situation.  It's not a black and white situation, there are MANY shades of grey.  It just makes me sick to hear about this Georgia congresswoman who wants abortion to be defined as murder.  Sure, there are some sickening types of abortion that NO ONE should be able to perform/receive.  And, to think that someone who has a miscarriage is potentially going to have to undergo an interrigation so that the government can make sure it wasn't actually abortion?  DISGUSTING.

I just don't get it...
